I notice several of my favorite brand of pots and pans in your illustrations. I love good cookware and I've enjoyed some great brands over a long lifetime of both studying cooking (my university degree was in Home Economics, part of which involved lots of cooking courses). My mother cooked on a wood-burning stove in her early married life and on the ranch as long as they were active on it. Both she and my eldest sister held degrees in Home Economics, which is much more than cooking and knitting but is a very scientific degree - at least mine was - a Bachelor of Science, though a Bachelor of Arts is also given in H.E. - but with less emphasis on the scientific part. I loved to sew and design was my main reason for taking the degree and the BS was valuable in teaching. I went on to work toward a masters in teaching it.

I've loved Revere Ware and used to keep the copper bottoms polished like pictures! I've had manyu good pieces of various brands over the years and have enjoyed quite a bit of Circulon.

But since I discovered and acquired some Calphalon, I'm so hooked I can barely bear to use any others! The handles stay cool. The food doesn't stick. They clean like a breeze. Their construction conducts the heat perfectly. Their shapes are like magic.

Well - I love'em. and was fortunate enough to acquire most I have at fairly reasonable prices online at Amazon. One pot I did pay full price for - is the smallest saucepan they make, probabaly - but it is worth what I paid! I've given some as gifts, as well. One of these days I'll get (if Santa doesn't hear & bring me) - their fritatta pan(s).

Otherwise, I guess I'm furnished pretty well! They are the pans most accessible under my range top, the ones I always reach in & pull out to use!

Thanks for this hub - and the fun opportunity to tout a pot I love! Your hub is really well-done!!
